Fishing

World-class fishing at the confluence of the Spokane and Columbia rivers — one of the most productive corridors in the Pacific Northwest.

Where Two Rivers Meet

Two Rivers Campground & Marina sits at the confluence of the Spokane and Columbia rivers — one of the most productive fishing corridors in eastern Washington. The merging currents create a nutrient-rich environment that draws baitfish, and with them, some of the best sport fishing in the Pacific Northwest.

Whether you're casting from shore, dropping a line off the dock, or trolling the open water of Lake Roosevelt, this stretch of river offers year-round opportunity for anglers of every skill level.

Fish Species

The waters around Two Rivers support a diverse fishery. Here's what you can target throughout the year.

Walleye

Apr – Oct

The Columbia and Spokane rivers are among the top walleye fisheries in the Pacific Northwest. Spring and early summer produce the best catches.

Rainbow Trout

Year-round

Stocked and wild rainbow trout thrive in the cooler tributaries and along the Spokane River arm.

Smallmouth Bass

May – Sep

Rocky shorelines and points near the confluence hold excellent numbers of smallmouth in the 2–4 lb range.

Kokanee Salmon

Jun – Sep

Lake Roosevelt's kokanee runs draw anglers from across the state. Trolling near the thermocline is the go-to technique.

Largemouth Bass

May – Sep

Sheltered bays and weed beds along the reservoir produce quality largemouth throughout the warm months.

Yellow Perch

Year-round

Abundant and easy to catch, perch are a great option for families and beginners fishing from the dock or shore.

Burbot (Freshwater Ling Cod)

Dec – Mar

A unique winter fishery — burbot are active under the ice and in deep water when most other species slow down.

White Sturgeon

Year-round (catch & release)

The Columbia River is home to massive white sturgeon. Catch-and-release regulations protect these prehistoric giants.
